Tickets are still up for grabs for this weekend’s Fashion City York Catwalk show.

Fashionistas of every age can attend the Guildhall event tomorrow because tickets are now available to under-18s.

Prices start from £8.50 for a standing ticket and £12.50 for a seated one. Tickets can be bought from the Visit York Information Centre and online at visityork.org/eshop

Models will be striding down the catwalk dressed in some of York’s latest trends from city centre shops, from 7pm until 10pm at the Guildhall.

Russell Norton, chairman of Fashion City York, said: “Our aim is to highlight the unique range of fashion available in York and we’ve found a great diversity of models to represent women of all shapes and sizes.”

The finishing touches are being put in place for the rest of the weekend’s events, with York designers, stores, and beauty artists all gearing up for the fashion festival, which aims to put York firmly on the style map.

The Fashion Village marquee will be open at St Sampson’s Square from 9am to 5pm tomorrow and Sunday, featuring stallholders as well as a make-a-dress-in-a-day challenge.

Stores across York are also setting up their own promotions. All the information can be found in the Fashion City York magazine, available from the Fashion Village marquee and till points across the city centre.

Mr Norton hoped the event would attract lots of attention.

He said: “It’s been a year in the planning and all we need now is for members of the public to come and see the results.”

Fashion City York will be back in September, and a week-long event is planned for March 2012.
