KILLER Brian Cox must spend at least 18 years in jail for the murder of York father of five Mark Webb.
Cox, 29, was found sentenced this morning after being found guilty yesterday by a jury at Leeds Crown Court.
He was given a life sentence today and told he would serve a minimum of 18 years, minus the 256 days he has already spent behind bars.
Cox, formerly of Bede Avenue in Clifton, slashed Mr Webb in the throat in an alleyway off Stuart Road in Acomb in March, before fleeing from the scene as his victim bled to death.
Cox's girlfriend, Mr Webb's estranged wife Susan Webb, 30, of Middleton Road, was convicted of two counts of perverting the course of justice and will be sentenced at a later date.
