THE online property service offered by The Press and its sister papers is proving a resounding success, with an average of 98,000 pages viewed in The Press homes section on a monthly basis.

Robin Bate, regional digital manager, said: “Since we made changes to the search function on the Homes pages and how the properties are displayed we have seen a significant increase in our traffic to the Homes section of our site.

“We have between 8,000 and 9,000 people coming to our Homes section to search for properties every month and these people are viewing more pages than ever before, with growth of 21 per cent in the number of pages viewed from February to June 2013, compared with the same period last year. On average, each person who visits our Homes section views ten pages.”

Since we launched our Property Press in early February, we now have more than 6,000 properties available to search, from 41 of the local agents in the area.

Shaun Sables, motors and property team leader, said: “The initial response to our app has been fantastic. Its in-depth features, and the way it integrates with the agents’ social media activity seamlessly, is proving a hit with agents and readers alike.”

Steve Hughes, editor of The Press, said: “The growth in popularity of our homes apps and our online property content means that, alongside our weekly property supplements, we really do provide an unbeatable range of services for anyone looking to buy or sell a house in the region, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing.”
