THE resilience of York and North Yorkshire’s tourism sector has helped underpin a recovery within the region’s commercial property sector, a Yorkshire property lawyer has claimed.
Jonathan Moore, of Dickinson Dees, said during the past 12 to 18 months a significant number of new-build hotels have opened or were currently under construction across the area, including the 80-acre Raithwaite Hall and Spa, near Whitby, on which Dickinson Dees has provided legal advice and is due to open in October.
He said approval had recently been granted by City of York Council for hotels in Toft Green and Walmgate, both of which the firm had been involved with, while plans were now being considered for a new hotels in Holgate and on the banks of the River Foss.
