The Bromley Square development. The Bromley Square development.

New homes need not be expensive

New homes have huge advantages for so many reasons – but cost is not always one of those advantages.

There are lots of brilliant new homes developments in and around York (we feature two of them at the Revival Tadcaster Road site today) but they can be, in cost terms, at the high end of the market.

Refreshing then, to find a development in the city that is providing quality homes with a high spec finish at (in today’s terms) affordable prices.

The Bromley Square project in the Leeman Road area of the city does just that.

A series of attractively designed two and three-bed homes from Daniel Gath (a company with a reputation for good quality build throughout Yorkshire), this is a smart and attractive series of townhouse homes in a very much up-and-coming location.

The eight houses here are planned around a secluded courtyard and each will be nicely appointed throughout – certainly if the internal pictures we have seen are anything to go by.

Let’s take a look at what is on offer, which is basically two house types, The Hepton and the Camden.

The Hepton has a large through living/dining room with French doors opening to a rear and a kitchen and cloakroom and storage cupboard on the first floor. Upstairs there is a large master bedroom, two further bedrooms and a house bathroom.

The Camden offers a living room to the front of the house and a breakfast kitchen and cloakroom with two good-sized bedrooms and a house bathroom upstairs.

And here comes the best bit… the Camden townhouse price range is from £159,950 to £164,950 which, for a brand new contemporary home, is more than reasonable.

The Hepton price range is from £160,950 to £174,950, again representing pretty good value for what is a smart new three bed house.

The Bromley Square development by Gath Homes is being marketed by Hudson Moody. Further information from 01904 650650.
