There is a fascinating and interesting unpredictability about the configuration of The Gatehouse in that a section of the accommodation is housed within the roof space of the impressive archway which heralds the entrance to this exclusive lakeside complex. It may also come as some surprise that this distinctive home provides five bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms.
Early in 2012, a single storey element with a glazed gable was added. This made good use of space between the rear of the house and the adjacent garage as well as creating a much better balance between the living and bedroom floors. Additional re-configuration has resulted in a superb open plan dining kitchen with its front garden door and an open connection into the new living room. There are three bedrooms on the first floor with two each having their own bath/shower suites. The third bedroom would work well for those requiring a home office. The two second floor bedrooms within the arch, share a centrally located shower room. One of these rooms includes a striking coloured and leaded light glazed circular window set within the apex of the archway.
