Desert legacy

SO, 5,831 listed heritage buildings are at risk due to neglect. It makes you wonder what our age will leave for the next generation in this greedy if-it-doesn’t-make-money- forget-it society.

Henry VIII and Cromwell left decayed abbeys and monasteries as their legacy and we’ll leave decayed ancient buildings as ours.

Let’s start with Parliament first, but please leave the clock intact.

First there was Thatcher’s wasteland, now there is Cameron’s desert.
