It’s a great waste

I’M NO pacifist but the idea of spending £50 million on celebrating the start of a war is nothing less than insane.

Celebrate the end of a war if you must, but to celebrate the impending death of millions is just sick. The money could be put to better use paying off the nation’s debts.

Surely it's best to commemorate the cessation of warfare?

That £50mil will be money well spent as Cameron gets his face on the box several times a week drumming up patriotic fervour (read: votes) on the run up to the general election.
