Problem not solution
10:11am Wednesday 10th October 2012 in Letters By Reader's letter
IF YOU divide Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire’s share of our £50 million daily subscription to the EU, we could have £900 million per year given back.
Not to government or councils to fritter away, but back to small business in VAT and business rate relief. The EU is the problem not the solution.
Godfrey Bloom MEP, UKIP MEP for Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.

If I was an MEP who rarely visited Brussels, but wanted to keep my handsome remuneration and expenses rolling in, I would occasionally post a letter in the Press.
However trite and stupid my musings, it might fool the electorate into voting for me again next time round in the mistaken belief that I was doing something to earn the the money.

Not very good at reading the tea leaves are we?
I despise labour. The last time I voted for then was in the 70's and they never get my vote in local or general elections.
I also oppose local small businessmen who abuse these pages, that is where your confusion lies.

what's wrong with local small businessmen ? I haven't seen any abuse of the pages
don't you like people who provide employment to local people?
maybe you'd prefer everyone to be on benefits
