Embarrassed by PM’s poor performance

DAVID Cameron’s appearance on the David Letterman US talk show was a total embarrassment.

This was a much-anticipated visit to form business ties between the US and UK, but Cameron fell flat with a few questions put his way.

Cameron is Eton and Oxford educated, he’s the Prime Minister.

Has he not seen any other Letterman shows to gain knowledge of Letterman’s interview techniques?

Did it not occur to him that there may be some quiz questions?

He didn’t know what the Magna Carta meant or who wrote Rule Britannia.

Granted there is probably a vast majority of UK citizens who don’t know the answers either, but surely the PM should.

Totally agree. Mr Cameron has shown some poor judgement with his choice of Press advisor and labeling his government as the Greenest ever for example. But what got me most was when he told President Obama that Britain was the junior partner to the USA in 1940 during WWII. (July 2010) In 1940 the USA was not even in the war. After Pearl Harbour the USA even had to borrow one of our Aircraft Carriers (HMS Victorious) as their fleet was insufficient.
Wise up Mr Cameron, if he doesn't know basic history then he's not going to know that his greenest government ever will ruin us!

He should have done what he always does; make it up as he goes. He probably did. I could not answer those questions accurately. Was King John responsible for Magna Carta and Elgar for Rule Britania? Guessing.
