Faith is restored

I AM 84 years of age, I have many illnesses including diabetes and kidney failure.

I have been in hospital twice this year, I am crippled and use a wheelchair.

I have been pushed from pillar to post and have lost faith in society.

Then I went to the opticians, Vision Express in Parliament Street to see if they could do anything for my fading eyesight.

They treated me and my carer like VIPs.

The patience, kindness and help I received put my faith back into society.

They even made us a cup of tea.

Well done Greer and Adele.

A W McKenzie, Huntington Road, York.

I am disappointed the lady has been messed around by many and pleased Vision Express have treated her well but I really don't think this (and similar) letters appropriate for The Press. Surely the world is not that bad that a commercial business treating you well is deserving of a letter to the main newspaper in a city of 200k people? If these keep being published they will just be cynically abused by companies urging people to write in so they can get a free advert
