No class here

YORK on Sunday afternoon. Litter everywhere, no bins in sight. The bus shelters in Stonebow look as though they haven’t been washed for years. World-class city? I don’t think so.

Try the bus shelter in Rougier Street. The pigeon netting has disintegrated and not been replaced and the shelter is permanently inhabited by tramps. They pressure jetted it a couple of weeks ago but it is already covered in pigeon poop.

The leader of York council said so

Actually I agree the place can look shabby at times but sometimes I feel it would need a tripling of council tax to deal with all the litter we create. Perhaps we should look to creating less litter in the first place.
