AS I drive along Holtby Lane four or more times a week, I have been following the correspondence about loose horses with interest.
There is, however, another hazard in this lane which could easily be removed. I refer to the very high hedges which surround the road just as it crosses the beck a few hundred yards from Holtby itself.
I slow to a slow walk when rounding this bend, as do most of the people who use this road regularly, but it could catch a stranger out.
I did complain about this to the police, but to no avail.
