Start from scratch
10:00am Saturday 15th September 2012 in Letters By Reader's letter
I HAVE noticed the latest buzzword being used by Labour Party leader Ed Miliband.
I refer to the not too wonderful idea of American “pre-distribution”, whereby employers become more responsible, pay more than the basic hourly rate and have sustainability in their hearts. Mr Milliband believes this will quell the need for subsidies and lower welfare payments.
It would be fair to say that the track record of thousands of businesses indicate that industries were moved abroad to take advantage of cheaper labour costs, thus betraying thousands of British workers.
If Mr Miliband’s party is returned to office, he will inherit an increased sub-prime property market in what will still be a den of speculators. It is the deflation of all economies in Europe that is needed; flat-line the lot and start from scratch.
Finally, my good friend Dr Glynn Powell points out that you couldn’t put a piece of paper between the ideologies of the three main political parties, with 80 per cent of MPs streamed from the public school pool or vast wealth. Little wonder such bad decisions are made for the poor, disadvantaged and disabled.

Not communism before anyone starts, but more a co-operative model where rating agencies and hedge funds cannot dictate policy.

Letter writer is quite right - we are voting for the same parties and parties who still cling to a flawed version of capitalism. Banks and nations are going bust - we need a rethink.
