Brilliant times at the Marquee

WELL done to my old mate Steve Roberts – it was nice to see some old faces (Rolling back the years, The Press, September 4).

Before he was as drummer in the UK Subs, there was Cyanide, the York punk band.

Steve supported the UK Subs in the 1970s with gigs at the Lynx Club in York, and then on tour at Manchester, Bradford, Ashford in Kent, London, The Greyhound Pub, and most of all the Marquee.

Brilliant times as I was one of the road crew and photographer. Looking back it’s not every day a York band gets to play at the Marquee in London.
