A crier interjects...

Apropos your report (The Press, August 30) on the Diamond Jubilee British Town Crier Championship at Hebden Bridge, it might be added that David Jackson (town crier for Malton and Norton ) and his wife and escort, Jo, won the best-dressed couple award.

This is the second British championship they have won the award, the first time being at Barnoldswick in 2009.
