WHILE I feel it is sad that there will be redundancies due to the demise of Selby Leisure (The Press, August 30), I am increasingly angry at Selby Council’s obvious lack of doing anything about the rebuild or refurbishment of the Leisure Centre.
As a former member, along with many others I know, we have heard that the insurance money has been paid out. Is Selby Council sitting on this money?
We need a proper leisure centre in Selby, along with a pool, not a mishmash of facilities in different places.
