WITH reference to the Women’s Press “We love/We hate column” (The Press, August 21), I also wondered why Kate Moss and co were part of the closing ceremony.
Personally I could also have done without the Spice Girls, and if we had to have John Lennon singing on screen his song while a image of his face was being built up, why could we not have had Freddie Mercury singing We Are The Champions on screen instead of Jesse J trying to sing one of his songs. I thought the best was Eric Idle singing Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.
