YOU report in The Press of August 14 about the British Wireless for the Blind Fund (BWBF) and special radios being available for visually impaired people in the Selby area.
This equipment is also available in York, via our society. The radios and CD/cassette/radios with USB port and SD slot – the Concerto 2 – are issued to people who are registered severely sight impaired/blind or partially sighted, who are unable to use conventional equipment and are in receipt of a means-tested benefit. This is the criteria required by the BWBF. People can find out about these and many more aids to daily living in our equipment and information centre, which is open from Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm. No appointment is required to call in during these times.
If anyone would like any further information, please phone 01904 636269 or email enquiries@ybpss.org
