Poor priorities
2:04pm Wednesday 22nd August 2012 in Letters
WITH Labour in York having a £1 million slush fund and spending £1 million a year on 20mph in York, £100,000 on free wi-fi, £50,000 a year on extra councillor allowance and £240,000 going to union officials, the party has clearly got its priorities wrong in targeting York’s 184 vulnerable residents and cutting their social care service (The Press, August 15).
It is a disgrace and I do believe rather than prioritising a £1 million slush fund, etc, funding should continue to care for York’s 184 vulnerable adults.
