It’s such a help
2:03pm Wednesday 22nd August 2012 in Letters
AS the manager of Scope charity shop in Acomb , I would like to thank all of the people who have so generously brought donations of stock in to us. Here in Acomb we have been relying on these threshold donations.
Potential donators of stock may wish to know that we now have a textile bank supplying the Acomb shop on the car park at the Quaker Wood public house. I thank Sheila, the manager, for allowing us to use this site.
Scope supports disabled people and through our face-to-face service helps all the family. We never set limits on a disabled person’s individual potential.
Our shop is now open seven days a week and can now accept donations on a daily basis. This gives you an opportunity to Gift Aid your donations, allowing us to claim 25 per cent extra for every £1 we sell of your items.
Thanks go to all the workers at DEFRA who have been regularly bringing stock after a recent appeal.
