Let the buskers be

IT is unbelievable that the chocolate museum should want to take over King’s Square with an outdoor café. The street performers give wonderful entertainment in the area for visitors and residents alike, without the audience getting in anyone’s way, and are a great asset to York.

How exactly the museum thinks that the square could be widened to accommodate both is beyond me, and it is already as wide as it can get without taking over the road.

It is to be hoped that this application is turned down.

Surely the idea of busking is that a Busker can busk anywhere? So why are they suddenly rooted to the spot?
