Pain control is vital

I WOULD like to give my support to Denise and John Sams in their fight to get the pain control (The Press, July 17).

Mr Sams needs it to enable him to be active. Being active is vital for Parkinson’s Disease sufferers because being static lets the disease stiffen the muscles.

My husband died recently of complications of Parkinson’s and his condition declined very quickly once he became immobile due to continuous falls, causing him to fracture his skull.
