Enough is enough

IT IS reported that Centrica, the owner of British Gas, has said that rising wholesale gas costs will make supplying energy to the households more expensive this year.
It said gas costs would be 15 per cent higher next winter, while other costs would add another £50 to cost of energy to the average home. What do they mean adding another £50 to the cost of supplying energy to the average home?
They also say the trend of energy costs remains upwards. We just had a 15 per cent to 20 per cent rise last year, but can expect another 15 per cent increase early at the back end of this year.
Centrica seems to do what it wants, putting gas prices up at the drop of a hat. What say does the Government have in this carry on? We have Ofgem, the watchdog body, which is supposed to check firms such as British Gas, yet what does it do? Chuff all.
It’s about time British Gas customers all said “enough is enough” and moved to another supplier.
