Prompt repair

I VISITED a property in the Burton Stone Lane area last Wednesday and discovered that a nearby alley gate was broken and would not shut.

On returning home I rang the council to report it. A gentleman took details of the area of the gate and thanked me profusely for taking the time to report the fault. I returned to the property on Friday to find the gate had been repaired and was closed.

Well done, City of York Council, I am so pleased that some of my council tax has been spent in such an efficient way.
