Unreserved thanks

HAVING recently left Bootham Park Hospital after four months, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to all staff involved in my care.

Like most people, I never thought it could happen to me, but it did. Following too many deaths in the family at too early an age, I suffered severe depression and, aged 67, found myself in at Bootham Park. The medical team, of course, but also the carers, support workers, cleaners and the laundry lady with the incredible memory, all treated me with patience and consideration.

In addition, as I also suffered sciatica, a trapped nerve that made walking difficult and cycling almost impossible, my thanks to the physios whose expertise and encouragement in the gym got me cycling again, something I greatly missed.

So to each and everyone involved at Bootham Park, my unreserved gratitude.

Terry Cullen, Vernon Close, Bishopthorpe, York.
