Cameron is just ‘a Blair clone’

LEAVING aside the anti-Thatcher rhetoric, I find myself agreeing with much of the sentiment in JR Stone’s letter of April 26.

We have basically replaced one incompetent, sleaze-ridden administration with another. In David Cameron we have a Blair clone, all sound and no substance. So we have no real idea of what he or his Government stands for.

Similarly, the idea of putting the economy in the hands of Miliband, Balls and co is like putting an arsonist in charge of the fire service. Consequently millions of voters will feel disenfranchised, so perhaps we really should have a vote for “none of the above”.

Alternatively if sufficient numbers were brave enough to dispense with traditional tribal politics, we could vote for UKIP and force the major parties to have a referendum on the EU and at least the chance to take back control of our own laws and borders.
