WORLD Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) is delighted to offer runners free entry to a race that traces the Olympic Marathon route – and raise money for cancer prevention at the same time.
The BUPA London 10,000 follows the planned route of the Olympic event through central London, taking in the sights of Westminster Abbey, Parliament, the London Eye, St Paul’s Cathedral and Buckingham Palace. The marathon follows three laps of the same route before finishing at the Games’ stadium in East London.
The event is held on Sunday, May 27, in the run-up to celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and runners for WCRF do not have to pay to enter the race, just raise £150 sponsorship for the charity. Competitors will receive a goodie bag with a WCRF T-shirt and medal as well as the full support of WCRF’s Events Team, training and nutrition advice, a fundraising pack full of tips on raising cash and an online sponsorship page.
Please phone 020 7343 4200 or visit wcrf-uk.org/signup to race for WCRF.
