IT’S a damned diabolical disgrace that our water bills are going to rise.
What next? Hasn’t anyone noticed this country is surrounded by water? What’s wrong with dotting our coast lines with a few desalination plants and yoking them up to the dreaded nasties, the wonderful, whistling wind turbines?

Anyway, the major cost isn't getting the water to you. It's taking the stuff away together with all the associated "by products" and treating it once you've done with it. If you wanted to save a few quid I suppose you could always spread it on your garden.
