Wonderful outcome of Remembrance festival

IT was so good to read in The Press (February 1) the news that £10,000 was raised at the Festival of Remembrance at York Barbican in November last year.

It was a wonderful evening out, so many folk commented on the quality of the show and the wonderful Heavy Cavalry Band who played so well.

To raise that amount of money is unbelievable and a credit to Ted Griffiths. We all praise him. We attend a lot of occasions as members of York Branch of the Royal British Legion, which is such a worthy cause.
