I AM pleased to let readers know that last November, Harland & Co. took part in Will Aid.
Will Aid is the UK’s top charity will-writing scheme.
It offers everyone the opportunity to make or update their will in return for a donation to help people in need in the UK and all over the world.
This money is shared by nine charities: ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland) and Trocaire (Northern Ireland).
We had a busy campaign and wrote more than 30 wills for local people without charging our usual fee. In return, the clients made a donation to Will Aid. Their generous contributions means that around £2,500 has already been raised with further donations expected. An additional 25 per cent can be added to this through Gift Aid.
Nationwide, the scheme has had its best year ever, raising more than £1.5 million to date. We are proud that Harland & Co were involved. The money will make a real difference to the vulnerable children, families and older people with whom the Will Aid charities work.
We would like to thank all those clients who came to us during Will Aid.
Stephen Morgan, Harland & Co, St Saviourgate, York.

Nice one, another free ad for Harland and Co. If you had used a little more nouse, you would have mentioned Harland and Co. a few more times in your letter. Nevertheless well done Harland and Co. The letters editor will expect a good discount.
