WITH reference to Hugh Bayley MP questioning the wisdom of reducing MOT testing (The Press, January 24), I concur with his comments, that this move would jeopardise road safety measures, increase road accidents and cost the driver more in financial terms in the long run.
Minor faults which are not highlighted during the annual MOT could be responsible for many road accidents. For example, failure to notice damaged suspension having negotiated speed bumps over a period of time and not visible to the naked eye.
