I WAS horrified to read today of the couple in West Sussex who owned two Rottweiler dogs and caused these poor animals to be dragged to their deaths because their owner had tied them to the back of her husband’s 4x4 vehicle and he had not noticed.
I cannot believe they are not to be prosecuted in some way. What about the RSPCA – do they allow heartless owners like these get to away scot free and even go on to own more dogs who may suffer a similar fate? What those poor dogs suffered cannot be imagined – at the very least their owners should be heavily fined and never allowed to own a dog again. Cases of such dreadful negligence should never go unpunished. I would like to think that their consciences prick them every time they see a pet dog, but I doubt it.

And if it was a mistake I imagine that it is, in fact, on their consciences.
