YOUR article by Mike Laycock fails to state the true situation on the proposed early morning cuts to Route 1 from Wigginton through central York.
First are not only cutting out the 05.54 bus but also the second 06.14 one. This, without doubt, will cause considerable problems to those dedicated early-morning staff who regularly use either of these buses. To cut out one would have been acceptable, but to cut both shows little thought for regular users. This situation requires an urgent rethink. A pity this direction is being taken, as the service provided in this part of north York is generally very good.
