Oral history of 2003 anti-war march

I AM writing an oral history of the February 15, 2003, anti-war march in London – the largest demonstration in British history about the biggest political question of this generation.

I am keen to hear from people who went on the march. Whether you were a first-time marcher or a seasoned activist, a Conservative protester or anarchist revolutionary, firmly against the war or just marching because you friends were – I’m interested to hear from you.

Perhaps going on the march changed your life, you have particularly strong memories or feelings about the day or a funny story to relate. Alternatively, maybe you stood in the cold for hours hardly moving and feel the march was a waste of time and the day a big disappointment.

If you are interested in contributing to a history of this momentous day, please email me at ian_js@hotmail.com or write to me at the address below.

Ian Sinclair, 47b Landseer Road, London, N19 4JU.

The second biggest amrch in history was just before this, the Countryside March. that must make pro fox hunting and countryside pursuits the second biggest issue of our political generation. Interesting.

mmmmm! If I remember correctly, about 400,000 attended the countryside plod. Does this mean that 59.6 million are of the opposite opinion?
