I WAS saddened and furious to read that the Government has said it will allow a free motion in Parliament, which could lead to a return to hunting wild animals with packs of dogs – despite the fact that a majority of the public back the 2004 ban.
If you accept that animals have rights, killing foxes, deer and hare in ‘sport’ is cruel in the extreme.
Tormenting defenceless animals for fun must never be allowed again in our beautiful countryside. It beggars belief that six years after the passing of the Hunting Act we could step back into barbarism.
