A show full of fun

I would like to agree with Jessica Varley’s letter regarding the Bev Jones show at The Grand Opera House last week (Inspiring others to get on stage, Soapbox, March 24).

I was disgusted to read The Press review by Caroline Wright (March 20). No one but Bev Jones puts on these types of shows, so why was she disappointed?

He spends his own money to give us these shows and he is not a wealthy man.

But he loves his music and he wants to see young people get the chance to do what he loves to do – perform.

I thought it was a wonderful show. Full of fun, lovely costumes, lovely dancing and singing. Well done to Bev and thank you to all the cast.

Edna Reid, Silverdale Court, York.

I think the point was the Bev promises far more than he delivers and The Grand Opera House is no place for an amateur production that is a million miles from a proper touring pro-production.
