PERHAPS one of the most deceitful and evasive acts of this government, which makes a mockery of the word “democracy” (government by the people), is the planned mass immigration to this country over the last 12 years.
Whether you believe in it or not, the point is that Labour sought no mandate from the British people, knowing full well that the majority were against this, so they secretly decided to deliver the opposite.
These plans have been recorded by Freedom of Information in official Whitehall documentation.
Not only that, but the double dealing was backed up by civil servants who Labour told to work on a plan to persuade voters that an enormous influx of newcomers was no bad thing. Warnings of an upsurge in organised crime, people trafficking, prostitution, and drug-running were conveniently ignored.
Any other readers thought there was something funny going on?
Make no mistake, a vote for Labour would mean more of the same over the next five years. It is one of their foremost driving political purposes, despite all the propaganda otherwise.
Ask the public, and most would say that in the area where they live, the quality of life was better 30 or 40 years ago.

I would like to see evidence that migrants do indeed commit these heinous crimes disproportionaly more than the indigenous population. Why not go as far back as Windrush?
These so called "invaders" kept the wheels of industry turning when the local populataion refused to lower themselves to such degrading work for so little money. They just drew the dole instead. Oh and they are usually the most vociferous in complaining that the migrants took their jobs.
I do believe we have too much immigration,but prefer to deal with it more rationally than to rant and make unfounded allegations.
Our social structure changing has been the prime mover in the quality of life in the past 30-40 years. Indeed the me......me .......me culture and not the sense of community, has had the effect of lessening social cohesion.

uanians around Wisbech put the local whinging Brits to shame in terms of energy and application (to say nothing of good humour!) and all this in spite of the exploitative conditions they undoutedly endure!I know the Press has a duty to represent all shades of opinion (and rightly so) but - as TooRad correctly puts it: this pathetic offering doesn't even deserve the dignity of the term "letter"!

Cut the lazy swines benefits and lets see if they will work to keep their lifestyles. I take offence that as a descendant of Angles, Saxons, Norse and Normans, Karen believes me to be detrimental to my own country. Several generations have past and I think I may be classed as indigenous. Remember Mcdonald is in the minority and blaming the Labour Government shows him to be an idiot. My political views are my own and I don't neccessarily vote Labour.

Television fantasy crimes. How many immigrant kingpins are running these operations in York? Much less Harrogate? We all know the actual petty crimes that the people in question commit in real life.

That may be true, but it's due to many and varied factors.
Is the writer saying that prior to the 1970s and 80s there was no immigration? If so then epic fail. If not, then the whole argument of the letter is flawed.
