Open day success

On Sunday we held our fourth open day and our third associated with the Residents’ First Weekend. It was also our most successful yet. This year we asked, with the help of The Press, for anyone with any memories or memorabilia to come along and share this with us. We are delighted to say that many people sent in their treasures: posters, leaflets, programmes and in one case Laurel and Hardy’s autograph, which all contributed to the success of the event. We were very pleased to welcome nearly 1,200 customers to the Grand Opera House. It was very busy for the entire four hours we were open and the feedback was very positive. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as the staff did. Thank you from everyone at the Grand Opera House.
