IF you cast your vote for the Tory Party in the next election, you will be supporting the return of hounds chasing and killing sentient beings, ie the fox.
As the law stands now, the hunts can go out riding with hounds, but this isn’t enough for David Cameron and his hunting mates.
They want to chase the poor fox until it can’t run no more, then watch it being ripped to pieces.
If you vote Tory you’re putting a death sentence on our foxes.
Future generations will never forgive our cruelty.
D Fillingham, The Crossway, Muncaster, York.
• THE Labour Government is saying the majority of British people are against fox hunting, which took up 700 hours of debating time in Parliament.
Townies won’t have seen the havoc caused after a fox has raided a chicken-run or savaged a lambing ewe.
Strangely, this Government does not put any importance on the fact that the vast majority are against the Iraq/Afghanistan wars; ten years of free-for-all open borders immigration; and want a referendum on the European Union.
F Cawood, Larkfield Road, Harrogate.

.
That'll be why the hunts always claimed they worked hard at "conserving" foxes I suppose?
.
You can't have it both ways - if foxes are vermin, there are more efficient ways to eradicate them, but if they are worth conserving, don't try and justify slaughtering them.
.
My father was a farmer who refused the local hunt permission to use his land. I don't recall him ever losing livestock to the foxes.
