End of an era

By Reader's letter

IT was with great sadness that I read in The Press that the Isobel Dunn School of Dancing was to close its doors for the very last time.

There was an open day for past and present dancers to have a chance to reminisce, which I happily went to last Saturday.

I attended the school of dancing in the 1960s and 1970s, and she taught me everything I needed to know, from an arabesque in ballet to a triple time step in tap dancing.

She produced a fantastic annual show called Dance Flash, and I had the privilege to have been chosen to appear in pantomime at the Theatre Royal. She certainly was the doyen of dance. Her dancing school will be very sadly missed by everyone.
