Now that spring has finally sprung and plants are coming into full leaf it’s time for people to become aware of and take responsibility for their overhanging plants and trees and any other obstruction to footpaths and rights of way.
There are sections of the River Foss with roses, brambles, ivy and trees growing out of private gardens and obstructing the footpaths, likewise over-growing plants narrow the paths and restrict visibility of road users.
