Thank you to more than 30 fantastic Acomb businesses for the wonderful window displays made ready for last Saturday’s Christmas special in Acomb. The winners were Chill in the Community, Varney photographer and Keen Hands.
Judging took place on Saturday November 25, November coinciding with the switching on of the Acomb Christmas lights, market and the community activities organised by Acomb Alive.
The market gave the centre of Acomb a real buzz as shoppers flocked in to look for unique gifts.
There was also a successful Christmas-themed coffee and craft at The Parish Hall and Christmas Messy church fun at Acomb Methodist Church, plus stalls and refreshments in the Gateway centre.
Thank you to everyone for making this a fantastic community day. There will be more to come on December 16, when the churches present ‘Follow the Star’, a Christmas nativity on the streets in Acomb.
