WHY can’t things be called what they are?

Words are either condensed two into one or put as an acronym.

Take Britain’s exit from the EU. Whoever thought of Brexit must have thought they were really clever. Instead it rather trivialises the whole operation.

The majority of people who bothered to vote in the in/out referendum voted out, so why do some of the others seem to think the decision would be reversed?

When cowardly David Cameron walked away, turning his back on the people because he was so arrogant as to think the majority would follow his will like a flock of sheep, Theresa May took over the reins.

She was then brave enough to call a general election while being fully aware that things could go very badly against her.

Results were not quite what she hoped for but did leave her having to negotiate and make arrangements for our divorce from the bullying, dictatorial bureaucrats of Europe.

Mrs May seems to be doing everything she can.

Political wheels seem to move very slowly.

What would be great would be if she stood up and told them the majority of the UK voted to leave and that is just what we are going to do - now - and let us just walk away.

Never mind the billions they want from us.

It does seem that everything that can go wrong in this country is being blamed on the exit, just as it was in the 1970s when we were forced into going into the then Common Market. Ironic really.
