I AM writing following recent comments in the press with regard to the UK foreign aid budget.

It is not right that we are sending millions in aid to a country that has more millionaires than the UK and is funding a space and nuclear programme.

Corruption in the system is rife.

The UK Government should provide physical aid to countries that need it by providing water systems, temporary accommodation, food and medicines to bona fide charity organisations for them to control and distribute as each emergency is declared.

The money option should be a no no.

It may upset some warlords with their Rolex watches and Toyota Landcruisers paid for by the British tax payer, but I think I could live with that disappointment.
