I READ the article headlined “Misery of being left-handed” (The Press, August 13).
As a left-hander my handwriting slants to the left, I do upside down ticks when filling in forms, I look through a book from back to front.
When I was young, mam always knew when I had set the table as the cutlery and cups were set left-handed.
Those are just some of the things I do as a left-hander.
I cannot remember ever being penalised as a left-hander, not even being forced to use my right hand to write.
This was unlike my father who, in the early 1900s, was made to use his right hand so he could write with both left and right.
