COMMENT: They're all our heroes
IN today’s newspaper, we introduce our Community Pride finalists for 2017.
They include young carers, brave children, public sector heroes, dedicated volunteers, good neighbours and charity workers: people of all ages and backgrounds united by their courage, and by their tireless efforts on behalf of others.
The winners will be revealed in October. But the Community Pride Awards aren’t really about winners. They’re about celebrating the unsung heroes who make our communities better. All our finalists are inspirations. We’re proud of every one of them.
