FURTHER to the decision to dual York’s outer ring road, I have been watching the comments with interest and concern over City of York Council’s intention to spend £295,000 on a feasibility study.
I think that is a lot of money to waste that could be spent on other areas of York.
When are these so-called traffic management experts going to learn by past mistakes.
How much money has been thrown at improving the A59 and A19 roundabouts without success and the Hopgrove one is an accident waiting to happen.
I think it is safe to say that roundabouts don’t work on the ring road and to dual it with them will make it a close second to the M25 as the next biggest car park.
Someone has got to bite the bullet and get rid of them in favour of an underpass and flyovers and it doesn’t take a feasibility study to come to that conclusion.
