REMEMBERING previous delays with developments at Monks Cross, I do hope that York City manager Gary Mills has not unwittingly caused a further delay on our much needed new sports stadium by appointing Newts as our captain for the forthcoming season (The Press, July 19).
Let’s hope he proves not to be one of a rare species.
We cannot afford to wait much longer.
After many years the roof of our ageing stadium has now started to leak over my seat.
I am a long-term supporter of the City. Keep the faith.
