YOU mentioned the WI when they were gearing up for the Great Yorkshire Show.
They are magnificent. The food and service with a smile is beyond compare.
Breakfast - a bacon roll and a mug of tea - at £4 is a bargain.
At lunchtime there were delicious full salads with meats, strawberries and cream etc, or various rolls, a great selection of cakes, scones with butter and jam. Yummy!
The fruit loaves and cakes are equally scrummy, but the cheese for £1 extra was somewhat miserly compared to what we are used to.
The ladies, all volunteers, are always so jolly, serving, clearing away.
To the WI, please keep giving us of your best each year. It is very much appreciated by us all.
